Building Simulation Modeling Environments Using Systems Theory and Software Architecture Principles

چکیده
Use of simulations for design of systems requires assurance that the underlying modeling theories and simulation strategies are correctly realized. For example, not only it is crucial to employ modeling and simulation theories, but it is also critical to develop software architectures (environments) that guarantee correct implementation of simulation Model execution. In this paper, we will (i) examine key features of an object-oriented modeling and simulation (M&S) environment with respect to its software architecture traits and (ii) propose an approach capable of supporting essential functionalities advocated by systemtheoretic modeling and simulation concepts and methods. We introduce a software architecture for discrete event M&S environments. We illustrate the software architecture using a prototype simulation tracking environment.

AN Improved UTD Based Model For The Multiple Building Diffraction Of Plane Waves In Urban Environments By Using Higher Order Diffraction Coeficients
This paper describes an improved model for multiple building diffraction modeling based on the uniform theory of diffraction (UTD). A well-known problem in conventional uniform theory of diffraction (CUTD) is multiple-edge transition zone diffraction. Here, higher order diffracted fields are used in order to improve the result; hence, we use higher order diffraction coefficients to improve a hy...
متن کاملSoftware Architecture for Object-Oriented Simulation Modeling and Simulation Environments: Case Study and Approach
During the past two decades, there has been a steady migration towards object-oriented modeling and simulation environments. There exist many issues besides use of a modeling and simulation approach and an object-oriented programming language that are important to account for in developing modeling and simulation environments. For example, it is not only necessary to consider run-time attribute...
متن کاملDeveloping CORBA-based distributed control and building performance environments by run-time coupling
Communication software and distributed applications for control and building performance simulation software must be reliable, efficient, flexible, and reusable. This paper reports on progress of a project, which aims to achieve better integrated building and systems control modeling in building performance simulation by run-time coupling of distributed computer programs. These requirements mot...
متن کاملProviding Design Strategies for Ventilation System in Treatment Environments (Proposed Sample: Hybrid Ventilation System in Hospitals)
One of basic principles in designing treatment environments is to design air conditioning/ventilation system proportionate to environment. Essentially, appropriate air conditioner in treatment spaces must bear the following capabilities: providing healthy and clean air, reducing the concentration of pollutants produced in the atmosphere, emission of pollutants and impeding their spread in exter...
متن کاملReducing rework and increasing the civil projects quality, through Total Quality Management (TQM), by using the concept of building information modeling (BIM)
One of the important problems in the field of Construction Industry is ‘rework’. It affects time, costs, quality, and almost every criteria of project success. As a result of rework and ineffective use of resources and materials in the workshops, there is always a considerable loss of resources, materials, investments, and workforce-time. Designing and planning through full awareness of clients...
